Hello! I Am Nazo.

Currently based in Thailand, I’m pursuing the Graduate Diploma in Teaching Profession at St. Teresa International College to deepen my skills, meet Thailand’s licensing requirements and grow into a more effective, reflective and certified educator. This portfolio is a window into my teaching journey. What I do, how I do it and why it matters.

About Myself

My path to teaching has been anything but ordinary.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Film and a master’s degree in Mass Communication, and while my early career began in creative industries, I always found myself drawn to the classroom. Back in my home country, I worked as a creative and an educator, discovering the joy of creating and helping students unlock new skills and confidence side by side.

When the opportunity came to move to Thailand, I embraced it without hesitation because I knew it was moving me towards something I aspired to be. Stepping into a new culture, a new language and a new way of life opened a whole world for me.

Being in Thailand has not only made me a better teacher, it has inspired me to grow personally, adapt creatively and see education through fresh eyes. I see my future here, building a life as an educator who learns just as much from the students as they do from me. This e-Portfolio is a snapshot of that journey so far, and the path I’m excited to keep walking.

Reflections

Monday

Reflection is a key part of both my teaching practice and my professional growth. This section connects to my weekly blog entries where I share thoughts, small wins, frustrations and lessons learned from the classroom.

Whether it’s about helping a shy student speak up, rethinking an activity that flopped or simply recognizing when I need to slow down and listen more, these reflections help me sharpen my awareness and stay grounded in the “why” behind what I do. They are honest snapshots of what it means to be an educator and teach young children with heart and humor.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe teaching is not about transferring information, but about building relationships.

For young learners, especially in an EFL setting, language is not just taught, it’s experienced. My philosophy revolves around three key values: connection, creativity and confidence.

In my classroom, English is not just a subject; it’s a playground. We learn through songs, storytelling, movement and conversation. I draw, I act, I play. I do this because I know my students retain best when they are engaged emotionally and physically. I respect each child’s pace, adapt activities to meet their learning styles and constantly reflect on how I can be better. A good day is when we all leave a little happier and a little smarter.
